Paperwork to pixels: Customs digitises airfreight process from Jan 1

Airfreight forwarders will no longer need to submit documentation in person to the Customs Department starting Jan 1 next year, as the process transitions to a fully digital system.
Airfreight Forwarders Association of Malaysia (AFAM) chairman Thomas Mathew said on Thursday (Sept 25) that the digital shift would help curb corruption by removing face-to-face interactions where bribes could be offered or solicited.
