Pam Planet - River and Train

Our river so soft today
and beautifully grey
singing wisps of branches
tickling it on either side
all rouge shades of burnt
ash and lavender
a new slight of spring
in hues of old
and winter receding
in touches of burgundy
enveloped in lips
in brickworks hold

The cavern of valley
so large it could swallow
the train whole
the gentle earth rolling away
ignoring highway reaching for more
up to the sky falling fingers
of rain
from iron
cemented arches
on the Don Valley bridge!

Put your minds toe in!
the river far below
its rippling
will catch you away
with all colours of grey
a sparkle bleeds together
in a water colour dream
a requiem of insanity
those lovers on a bridge!
who jumped into the river
their ready time
their love lost mind!

The skin of the lion
immigrated to this gate
bridging heaven and hell
their children's fate
and race
in bullets over a bridge
forgetting
mastery the mystery
their parents built!

Sharp journeymen of late
old embers glow
in passing trains
who view below
might wonder it
where it came
the river forever
and the train!
