Pam Morris - Jack The Ripper

I try not to be afraid that much,
not really. But I was last night
it began,
I started a nap at 5 30 pm
and slept until 11 30 pm.
Felt like I was hit by a
truck,
so I took caffeine migraine pills
then watched a show about
Jack The Ripper.
I turned the TV off at 2 00 am
to start working.
I needed something
from my car,
which was parked in the street,
at 2 30 am I decided not to go
for fear of Jack The Ripper.
It was dark in the
rest of the house and I was alone.
I continued working
and at 2 38 am,
I got my own knife out
and hid it under my pillow
for fear of Jack The Ripper.
Every noise scared me
which is weird because,
I try not to be afraid that much
not really.
