Pam Brown - 24-7-86

Of our four grandchildren, Anna was first.
We were so happy we felt we might burst.
Pop was excited and took several snaps,
Film finished, discovered a memory lapse.
The camera was empty, no film did it hold,
Excusing his error by blaming the cold
Pop quickly went home and put matter right,
Soon had Anna focused and in the right light.
Snaps taken, hands shaken, all filled with mirth
Because of this dear little first grandchild's birth.
