Palious Thatcher - To the Breeze

The fear of the mind sitting behind these foreign eyes of mine keeps me awake.
Live to die, die to live.
No balance to emotion no happy place,
Any joy swallowed by pain,
Pain gilded by pleasure only digging a deeper and deeper hole.
Wishing for more, knowing I don’t deserve it.
To the breeze I am swept,
Only having one constant
The impact of landing will be devastating,
Just as each time before.
Pseudo peace clung to in the moment of foundationless apathy,
Overshadowed by fear of what is coming next.
Eyes closed to days that dance by full of beauty love and new growth to be had.
If only I had the courage to stand, open my eyes, and move.
For now I will drift blindly
