Palestine: 3rd Intifitada Most Important Development in 2015

The outbreak of what many consider to be the 3rd Infitidada, or popular uprising, was the most important event in Palestine in 2015. The unrest started at the beginning of October in occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank and then spread to the Gaza Strip. The popular uprising was sparked by violent attacks by extremist Israeli settlers on Palestinians and moves by Tel Aviv to restrict access to the Al Aqsa mosque, one of Islam's holiest sites.
