Palas Kumar Ray - I Want To Hate

Oh! God! do you tell me
not to give way to hatred
even for those adult capable children
who treat old father and mother
like orphans? like beggars?

Oh! God! do you tell me
not to scorn those nasty scoundrels
ruining innocence of children
who leaves them to darkness
for crying tears of blood?

Oh! God! do you also tell me
no way to contemn those parents
who kill female embryos
only because
they want males?

Then forgive me my father
I am not that saint.
I am ready to sacrifice
a heaven you promise
but I want to hate.
I want to hate.
