527 Views • Jan 29, 2026
Description
Malacañang says on Jan. 29, 2026 that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will follow the constitutional process when it comes to the impeachment complaint filed against him. This, as the House of Representatives Committee on Justice is set to take up the impeachment complaints against Marcos starting next week. The committee accepted the impeachment complaints filed by lawyer Andre De Jesus and the Makabayan Coalition against the President. Marcos is facing impeachment for allegedly allowing the International Criminal Court to arrest former president Rodrigo Duterte, failing to veto the unconstitutional provisions of the General Appropriations Act in 2023, institutionalizing systemic corruption and patronage, abusing unprogrammed appropriations and involvement in kickback schemes.
