Palace denies Sultan 'interfered'
Description
The Selangor palace says the appointment of PKR deputy president Azmin Ali as the new Selangor menteri besar was the result of Pakatan Rakyat's inability to agree on who will take the post.
In a statement issued today, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah's private secretary Munir Bani, said Azmin was chosen at the end of the day as he was a deputy president of his party and also, based on the understanding that the new menteri besar must be from PKR.
