Pakistan violates ceasefire again

Pakistani troops on Friday violated the ceasefire by firing with small arms and mortars on Indian posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, prompting Indian troops to retaliate.

"Pakistan troops resorted to small arms firing and mortars firing on Indian posts along LoC in Doda battalion area in Poonch district from 0935 hours", a senior Army officer told.

Army troops guarding the borderline fired back resulting in intermittent exchanges of fire, which were still going on, he said.
