Pakistan: SMS-Based Literacy
Description
This programme, which won the 2013 GSMA Global Mobile Award, continues to provide rural Pakistani women with literacy lessons, and participants use SMS messages to reinforce their lessons. Said one participant "the programme has changed my outlook toward education. Now I can learn to read and write, within the safety of my household, while staying connected to my loved ones."
