Paasky is a break from the mold of what one has come to know a New Orleans rapper to be. Born Rashaad Kelly, Paasky grew up during the Cash Money era and is greatly inspired by their success. The reality that someone from New Orleans actually made it big is what gave Paasky the drive and passion to rap.

In a time where it seems everyone is rapping for a hustle, Paasky is true to the art and conscious of the messages he sends through lyrics. Since the release of his debut mix tape Suggested Retail in 2011, he’s released 2 mix tapes a year while consistently delivering powerful punch lines and thought provoking metaphors laced with a slight east coast flair. Paasky has worked with notable artists such as Currensy, Raj Smoove, 3D Natee, Kourtney Heart, Nesby Phips and the super producers Flight School just to name a few. His talents supersedes underground and have allotted him the chance to open up for the likes of the legendary Slick Rick, Bun B, Rich Homie Quan, BIG K.I.R.T. and Big Sean just to name a few.

From photo shoots to videos, Paasky’s dedication to preserving the culture and hip hop excellence are evident in the visual he releases. Impeccably fly, his keen fashion sense scored him recognition from Complex Magazine in 2013 as one of the Top 10 Most Stylish Rappers in New Orleans. Paasky holds down the underground hip hop scene in New Orleans with such reverence, it has gotten him nominated for Best Male Artist and Best Mix Tape at every NOLA Hip Hop Award show to date. In early 2014, Paasky released the single “Sheba Baby” from the highly anticipated new project King Solomon which is set to drop Summer/Fall 2014.
