It's easy isn't it?
For you to look at healed scars because
You didn't see them open up
You didn't feel the blood well up between parted skin
You skin didn't swell around your wounds and
It didn't ache for you to sleep
Your heart didn't skip a beat when you felt a cut reopen or
When you felt blood stain your clothes
You didn't panic while washing bloody sleeves and sheets or
When you were confronted
You didn't feel the betrayal when you trusted someone with you scars and
They hurt you worse than a blade ever could
You don't understand the fear when your bracelets move slightly or
When your scars start to fade
You don't understand what it's like
To see yourself honestly through the holes in your skin
You don't know what bleeding your demons out feels like and
You couldn't ever possibly understand
How quiet tearing myself apart makes my mind
