Seriously though, don't even bother trying to take this guy head on, he will annihilate you. Gameplay in NG+ and I died about 7 times solo before calling in a cooperator with the beckoning bell.
btw in case anyone is wondering, he's a great one, not kin... Bolt is effective, don't use kin gems.
