Opposition Protesters March in La Ceiba Over Contested Election

Protesters rallied on the streets in Honduras on December 3 as chaos mounted amid confusion over the November 26 presidential election

Meanwhile, the Tribunal Supremo Electoral said Sunday it would recount the votes submitted for the country’s presidential election. Both current president Juan Orlando Hernandez and opposition leader Salvador Nasralla declared victory after the election, sparking the demonstrations.
