ophelia is a dublin based solo hip hop artist actively working stages in Ireland since 2005. it was then ophelia & DJ moschops teamed up to form a fresh & dynamic hip hop partnership. ophelia started to work with talented jazz improvisationists Redsquare in early 2007. All forces have now joined together to bring an exciting original show with an underground edge. many musical flavours to entice many tastes. Ophelia has had the honour of supporting saul williams, tony allen & the afronova band, Bonde De Role, Papoose, Scream Club, Bunny Rabbit & Coco, Damien Dempsey, Pete Rock and will be supporting ice cube in tripod on the 19th April 09. Ophelia has shared stages and played with many artists in diverse genres. Some of these artists are - kieron black & the amazing few, DJ OB & Splyce, Exile Eye, RSAG, Captain Moonlight, Orient Express, Mr. Whippy Sound system, Worries outernational, DJ Genie, Nic james, The infomatics, Urban Intellegence, The elements, twin kranes, the immediate, republic of loose, ham sandwich, super extra bonus party, Global, Janet Grogan, Djackulate, Sack, The Immediate, Stevie G, You're only massive, Neosupervital, Hoarsebox, Party wierdo, The candidates, The roaring forties, Aine Duffy, Mr. Scruff, DJ Rohan, Star Little thing, DJ Tuki, DJ Qbert, The Frames, P77, Arkham, Ri Ra, Danz, Messiah J, The Walls, Julie Dillon, le bien, scribble sound system and DJ Flip to name a few. Ophelia & Redsquare held residency in the cobblestone smithfield in 2008 and are now working on a debut album. Ophelia has also been facilitaing rap/song writing workshops since 2007.
