This band isn't one of your average college town bands. They don't rely on tricks of the trade like thirteen guitar pedals, or auto tuning to perform and record. Open Wire is a raw, bare bones rock/metal fusion of old and new that they call Cape Fear Power Rock. With comparisons being drawn from Black Label Society, Metallica, Pantera, Rob Zombie and other heavy hitters on the main stage, it's easy to see their appeal. They will be returning to the studio in October to record their self-titled sophmore album, to accompany 2012's "Naked Dreams".

Formed in early 2011 over a chance meeting between guitarist Dan Wuensch and vocalist Matt Thies over a bummed cigarette, the entity known as Open Wire grew out of the years of jamming with Phil Milligan on Drums, Eric LeRay on Bass and Dan on lead guitar. Having found a voice to match their style, Open Wire evolved into a reality instead of a weekend hobby.
This hard rock show is driven by the galloping thunder of Phil Milligan’s drumming, Dan Wuensch’s intricate heavy guitar riffs, the bone rattling bass playing of Eric LeRay and Matt Thies’ soulful grit and growl vocals. With each member having over ten years’ experience, Open Wire is a force of natured to be reckoned with and a show not to be missed.
