Olympic torch goes on space walk

Two Russian cosmonauts took the Olympic torch on a spacewalk 260 miles above Earth on November 9. Expedition 37 Flight Engineer Oleg Kotov brought the torch out of the International Space Station and passed it to Flight Engineer Sergey Ryazanskiy, <a class="link" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.nasa.gov/" target="_blank">NASA said</a>. The torch was returned to the ISS and the cosmonauts were expected to spend five additional hours conducting maintenance activities. Credit: NASA
