So with that let's now take a look at the medal standings as of 9:30 a.m., Korea time.
And Germany is off to a great start.
They're top of the medal standings,... with three gold medals,... two coming from the biathlon events,... and one in the ski jump.
The Netherlands are second,... thanks to their dominance in speed skating,... winning two golds -- one in the men's five-thousand meter and the other in the women's three-thousand meter event.
Norway are third with one gold, four silver and three bronze... for a total of eight medals -- the most so far.
South Korea is fifth with its one gold medal.
