Olivia Wilde Will Make Her Broadway Debut

Get ready to see Olivia Wilde up close and in the flesh as she’s set to display her acting prowess in front of a live audience on Broadway for the first time this week!

The actress is moving from the silver screen to the stage as she wraps up filming “Life Itself” in New York(SPL1469936) and heads across town to Broadway for rehearsals. She’ll be playing Annie who begins an affair with the male protagonist in a new stage adaptation of George Orwell’s novel “1984.”

The play’s arrival on Broadway comes after a successful run in the U.K. with Variety calling it a “Gorgeously staged chiller.” She’ll star alongside Tom Sturridge and Reed Birney and the production plans to open in June.

It’s the actress’ first foray into the Broadway scene making 2017 a big year for the star. Besides filming “Life Itself” with Oscar Isaac, the star also finished up work on crime-drama “A Vigilante” set for a 2018 release.
