Be afraid!
Sang the moon in the night,
As bats screeched out and moths gave flight.
The dark is made,
Sun down, no fight,
As happened every other night,
And the fox out crept,
As the moon cried and deer leapt,
Be afraid;
The Eternal Night!
The badger in a humble hole,
Cowering by the shaking mole,
The dark has taken the gift of sight,
The dark is everywhere, as is night,
And owls swoop down to catch their prey,
As cats prowl out - they've slept all day,
The dark has come in all its might,
To play a curse on the Eternal Night,
Never again the light of day,
For the moon has played,
Be afraid of us, and hope nay!
Be afraid like you've never been,
Prepare to die, and say,
Please, no, not today!
Be Afraid!

You scream at the moon,
You start to cry,
You want to hope but you can't defy,
And one last utter from your lips,
Life draining from your finger tips,
I am,
Not.
Afraid.
