Ofgem introduce energy cap
Description
In a move which it claims will help 11 million households, the energy industry regulator has today announced the details of its price-cap. At £1136 a year, Ofgem says it'll save the average consumer £75 a year and hopes to have it in place by the end of the year. But critics say the industry has been pumping up prices to pre-empt the impact and the cap may deter consumers from switching supplier and saving much more. Report by Jonesia.
