Occupy demos prepare for winter
Description
Occupy Wall Street demonstrators camped out in New York City say they're prepared for cooler temperatures should winter come early.
A snow-storm that hit parts of the Northeast United States over the weekend sent temperatures plummeting-- and protesters scrambling to bundle up and keep warm.
Armed with extra woolen sweaters and metallic 'space blankets' protesters say they'll be just fine.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) MICHAEL RORHBECK, OCCUPY WALL STREET PROTESTER FROM MANHATTAN, SAYING:
"We've got a lot of people that support us. So there is tents, there is blankets, there is handwarmers, like I said there's hats, there's coats. There is always food, there is always medical, there is always the library, there is always people that are willing to help you here. I can't say the same thing about the outside world. That's why I'll be here."

"The biggest thing is just staying dry. If you can stay dry once you get in your sleeping bag it's not so bad. So there are a lot of tents set up now and so we just try to hold up and keep spirits high."
Earlier, the New York Fire Department removed several generators that had been fueling heaters, computers and a kitchen because they were considered a safety hazard. But city officials maintain it was not in an effort to remove the protesters.
The group's efforts to draw attention to corporate greed and economic disparity have sparked similar protests in cities across America and around the world.
