Oh, how I slept with eyes open
Discovering its only but,53yrs
With times and season gone without memories
Hmmm, how times flies
Just a little while
I remember
Everything slept in my hand
With so many waters at my disposal
And had little or nothing to show for
Hmmm, it seems like yesterday
I fought for freedom
It seems like yesterday
I was rejoicing
Oh, my eyes has seen more than rejoicing
My eyes has seen the bitter parts of life
My offspring’s has swallowed the years
My offspring has devastated the land
My eyes are heavy like rain drops
My memories are filled with series of unpleasant happenings
My consciousness have I forgotten in my sleep
Even as the labour of my fight
Has being thrown into the abyss
I thought it was all gone
But it was only but,53yrs
With many years to come
