Observers face grief in Syria

Amateur video out of Syria appears to show women surrounding Arab League monitors in Deraa.
The video, which could not be independently verified by Reuters shows women telling monitors about the deaths of family members.
One woman says her brother was hit by a sniper when he was coming out of a mosque. She says another brother was tortured and detained for three months.
Another woman speaks of her son. She says the 22 year old electrical engineer was killed when he went to work and there was a protest nearby that came under attack.
On Sunday the Arab League renewed calls to end the violence in Syria but stopped short of asking for U.N. help.
More footage, purportedly from Idlib, shows protesters holding up letters spelling freedom. They continue to call for the end of President Bashar-al Assad's regime.
Video from Homs shows a funeral service for three residents.
The United Nations says more than 5,000 people have been killed in Syria since the uprising began last March. The Syrian government blames the violence on foreign backed insurgent groups.
And yet the demonstrators go on.
Syria has banned most independent media from the country making it difficult to verify accounts of activists or the government.
