Description

The premium for the Affordable Care Act is project to increase in 2017. According to health officials, it will be the highest it’s ever been since it was activated back in 2014. The premium changes will vary between different insurance plans. Jesse O’Brien, policy director of the Oregon State Public Interest Research Group Foundation, stated, “We’re definitely concerned about the possibility of large rate increases for next year. What this underlines is the need to do far more about the underlying drivers of health care costs in general that we have to date.”
