Description

Despite constant outreach attempts to get Millennials to sign up for Obamacare, the 18-34 demographic only makes up less than 30 percent of the Affordable Care Act customers. The White House had hoped for at least 40 percent of customers to be in that younger age bracket to offset costs of caring for sicker, older customers. President Obama is expected to make yet another pitch to college students on Wednesday. For the upcoming enrollment season, the administration is trying out new tactics to make enrolling easier for Millennials. There will be a smartphone-friendly registration process that will only require a few swipes, and the administration will be advertising heavily on sites that are frequented by Millennials, such as Twitch.
