Obama: IRS conduct "inexcusable"

U.S. President Barack Obama expresses outrage and vows action after a report found that the IRS improperly screened conservative groups that were applying for tax exempt status.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA, SAYING:
"I have reviewed the Treasury Department's watchdog report and the misconduct that it uncovered is inexcusable. It is inexcusable and Americans are right to be angry about it and I am angry about it., I will not tolerate this kind of behavior in any agency -- but especially in the IRS, given the power that it has and the reach that it has in all of our lives."
Obama said the head of the IRS was asked to tender his resignation and it was accepted.

"I will do everything in my power to make sure this never happens again."
Obama pledged to hold those responsible accountable for the actions and will work with Congress to insure it never happens again -- adding that
