The Organization of American States will meet Wednesday to elect a new secretary general. The only candidate to succeed Chilean Jose Miguel Insulza is former Uruguayan Foreign Minister Luis Almagro, who has already received the support of 20 of the 34 member states. Almagro has pledged to restore the weakened credibility of the regional body. teleSUR
