NYC two-month update

i was warned- the longer i was here, the more i would see the effects. i have only been here two months, and i can truly tell how much the roots have been pulled, never to be replenished. The culture of what made NYC NYC is officially gone. New York City is officially a shell of itself. New York City is officially a police state. Just like 'Portlandia' has contributed to the environment of what is now Portland, Oregon; shows like 'Sex And The City' and the several programs which followed have contributed to shaping what exists in NYC today. Giuliani and Bloomburg's pro-capitalist policies in particular have predominately affected the lives of people who live and work in all five boroughs.... and not for the better.
