Nvidia Orders Another 300,000 H20 Chips From TSMC
Description
Nvidia has resumed production of its H20 AI chip after securing a new order from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, according to Benzinga. The move follows the Trump administration’s easing of export restrictions imposed in April over national security concerns. The H20 chip is designed to comply with U.S. trade rules and has gained traction among Chinese tech giants such as Tencent, Alibaba, and ByteDance. Nvidia defends resuming chip exports to China, arguing it helps prevent developers from turning to local rivals like Huawei. Nvidia shares rose 1.87% on Monday and gained another 0.23% after hours, closing at $177.15.
