Numeral "8" Installation

The 2-0-1-8 sign high above Times Square was completed today with the installation of the seven foot high numeral "8". After being available for the public to take selfies with in Times Square it was moved to the top of 1 Times Square and lifted into place.

The four numerals use a total of 561 9-watt energy efficient Philips LED bulbs. The numeral “2” contains 145 bulbs, the "0" contains 164 bulbs, the numeral “1" contains 72 bulbs, and the numeral “8” contains 180 bulbs.
