Numbers-based focus leaves Afghan forces 'vulnerable'

Haseeb Humayoon, a Kabul-based consultant, tells Al Jazeera that without a proper focus on vetting, Afghan security forces will continue to be succeptible to infiltration by Taliban and other armed groups.

Humayoon, speaking to Al Jazeera from Kabul, also said that an emphasis on cultural differences between NATO and Afghan forces are largely misplaced.
