Not Long Left - you are...

you are the rock,
and i am the sea,
continually,
wearing you down,
yes that is me.

you are the snow,
and i the sun,
melting you down,
robbing you of your cold beauty,
yes i am dumb.

you are the leaves,
and i the wind,
blowing you,
throwing you,
with evil ease.

you are,
everything i am not,
i am cold and you are hot,
i do not mean to hurt you so,
but i think you already know.
why else would you stay by my side.
