Ah this old cold
You would think it was my friend
With all the meds I take
But there never seems to be an end

Ah this old cold
It keeps me all stuffed up
I go wheezin around the house
As if, I was a whimpering pup

Ah this old cold
Keeps my joints achin and a hurtin
It stays closer than a friend
That much is for cetain

Ah this old cold
It needs to simply go away
And give me a break
Someone else can have it, I'll say

Ah this old cold
It only seems to get worse
Keepin one all drug down
It's enough to make a preacher curse

Ah this old cold
Will surely drive one insane
When I blow my nose
I think I am losing my brain

Ah this old cold
It's like a runaway train
It just keeps on going
And it's driving me insane
