Norah Comerio - The Sin Box

One by one the tiny scraps of paper upon which was written each of my misdeeds went through the slot in the top of the square papier-mâché box until no more would fit. It took six years to collect them and what felt like an eternity in recovery to let go of the shame and guilt that held me tight to their chests. Today I burn the sin box because these wrongs don’t fit right in my life any longer.
