When Michael Goldman isn’t performing for renowned acts such as Meg Myers, Goldroom, or The Moth & Flame, he’s creating music as NONA. The project’s moniker was chosen in tribute to his grandmother’s namesake (a traditional Mediterranean term), which aptly reflects the level of personal compassion, self-exploration, and deep intimacy delivered throughout his songwriting.

“Pieces of this song have been with me for several years,” says Goldman, “but it was only after a failed attempt at a relationship that I was able find a meaning for it. This song defines a time in my life when I prioritized romance but struggled at succeeding in it.”

His upcoming EP was recorded at Goldman’s home studio in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, “Otherways” is the first track leaked off NONA’s forthcoming debut EP. He performed all instruments except drums, which were played by Sam Gallagher (Meg Myers).
