Nomad Omnia - Reverie

He sees the greens,
The greys, the browns,
Of island life
transformed to black
Of gathering storm.
And through it all the gold
Of God, the faith
And love from which
New life was born.

Bright splashes then
Of summer days
Rock pools and seaweed
Crashing waves.
A swirl of panic
Soon allayed.
His mind drifts on
To other days.

Other beaches,
Other waves
Machair lands
With sacred graves...

He stops.

He knows it’s there,
His other life.
