I have a friend who's heart is made of shining gold
The best of friends if I may be so bold

Forever friend is what she calls me
The best of friends is what I call she

She's offered me life when it was gone
My life her words depended on

When all my life hung by a thread
When it was a moment before I'd be dead

She was there to hear all my woes
Before her all my worry goes

So this tribute goes to my friend
Let us never come to the end

Forever friend have you declared me
Best of friends forever are you for me
