Description
The genius of film magician Georges Méliès (director, producer, writer, actor) is once more on display – in this entertaining excerpt from his 1902 classic “Le Voyage dans la Lune”, (“A Voyage to the Moon”). Dozens of Méliès’ movie creations remain to delight – on YouTube, in the Internet Archive and, in highest fidelity, on DVDs of these great film experiences.
When there’s chance of an encounter with Selenites, those green and nimble inhabitants of the Moon, one best be prepared – and, so, for this song journey Allison Crowe (voice, piano, engineer) here enlists: Billie Woods (guitar); Dave Baird (bass); Laurent Boucher (percussion); Larry Anschell (engineer); and Kayla Schmah (orchestrator, string arranger, producer).
