Description

The month long winter session of Parliament began on a stormy note this morning (Nov 22) with both the Houses being adjourned following a ruckus. While the Rajya Sabha has been adjourned for the day, an adamant TMC moved a no-confidence motion against the government in Lok Sabha which was rejected by the Speaker due to lack of numbers. After this, the Leader of Opposition, Sushma Swaraj, demanded discussion on the issue of FDI in retail under Rule 184. Earlier, Prime Mnister Manmohan Singh had sought co-operation from all parties, and the government at the same time said that it is ready to discuss any issue on the floor of the House.
