It is a wonder that a person’s reputation should precede them
I read and hear about ordinary people
From a time long before my existence
Ordinary people with extraordinary character
Wisdom and vision for a future
Of their beliefs and ideals
Impressed and imposed upon the less ordinary
We the less ordinary
Ambling along aimlessly
With hopes and dreams, dreams and prayers
But with no means of realising
But something of the extraordinary
Triggers the ordinary
In hope and belief that it is the truth
It is the truth
Live and learn
