Nitya Pillai - That First Time
1 Views • Nov 10, 2014
Description
the flowers around me bloomed
and the dark days and nights around me vanished
as though they were meant to be doomed
When I saw you first intently watching me
my heart rate went absurd
and after talking to you when I reached home
I just went on chirping like a bird
When you first held my hand
I felt a chill run down my spine
we looked so lovingly eye to eye
and I wished you'd say that you're all mine
When we first went out together
I felt like it was a journey in space
you taught me how to be strong
and be ahead in life's race
When we first saw a movie together
with our hand in hand
It was like a promise we made
that together we'll always stand
When you first gave me a that oh so tender kiss
It felt like satin against my cheek
you filled me with courage and confidence
and i no longer ever felt weak
When you first came in my dreams
and asked me If I loved you
you told me that you trusted me
and believed my love was true
When you first stopped by early morning to my home
only because you said you wanted to SEE me
I wish you'd had the courage that day
to tell me that you din't really love me
Now you've simply walked out of my life
just as spring came and went
you took along all my joys and smiles
as though they were only lent....
