This poem has no reason
Just the repetition of rhyme
Words to be forgotten
A memory soon to fade with time
When there is no point
Is there any point at all
Words that say nothing
Upon deaf ears must fall
Trying to be clever
Idling away the day
Vanities stroking ego
So with these words I play
This is an act of folly
My waste of an afternoon
This ode owes much to impatience
I reached for my pen too soon
