Small talk is so repetitive
I’ve heard it all before

All you give is lip sync
It’s because you have nothing to say
All you know is gossip and glitz
But I cant think that way

I would like some conversation
The lights are on, but you’re not home
You are trapped in the make-believe world of celebrity
Where the deluded people roam

Saturday is freezing
Dulling idle minds
We are lost to reality
Where the supernova shines

You seem immune to gravity
Your world orbit’s the inane
Unable to think for yourself
You have a phone poll for a brain

Tedium is the currency
Talk is very cheap
Incessantly they chatter
I’m just counting sheep
