My heart is empty inside
-vacío-
a fortress sealed tight
letting nothing and no one in

Inside only a clock ticks
its alarm set to some unknown time
when the tiny doors will swing open,
the blank spaces will be filled,
and nothing will ever be the same

The only problem...
is waiting
as the dust collects on its doors
as the hinges slowly begin to rust
waiting, in fear that the clock's gears
have ceased to spin
