Niharika Singh - PAIN

A four letter which may appear too small
has an effect which lasts for long.
It makes my heart go numb
but the veins still overflow
overflow with sorrow and agony
which never seem to go..

It resides in the heart
and tears me apart
but still it prevails
leaving me in tears
and silently I wail.

I opened the window
and everything seemed to fade
faded to black and white
with not a single colour in sight.
