Night Sky - The Night

Everything about who you are
is everything I am.
I could search the world
only to wind up at your door.
What would be found?
The love I have in my arms
on this crystal clear night.
Quietly while you are sleeping
I watch you with content.
Feeling the harmony in your breath
I know I’m the vision in your mind.
Sleep tight
in the sweet sound of night.
Our heartbeats keep time
in the song of slumber.
Only until the morning light
shines through the white drapes
and wakes you from your sleep.
