Night Sky - Gone

Impulses draw us together.
I choose to hide behind a glass wall of memories.
Your eyes see right through me.
Shatter the wall that separates me and sanity.
A past exposed
and open wounds for everyone to see.
You never caught me falling,
that’s why I walked away.
Moments pass like hours.
All that was sweet
disappeared in an instant.
Standing with your condescending smile,
you will never know.
My life is often sweet.
You would be surprised
I barely fall to pieces anymore.
Until I look into your eyes.
