Night Shift at Lodi

The second part of Siemen's 'Resource Efficiency' video campaigns follows John Quitter, power plant operator on his night shift at the Lodi power plant in California. The Flex, as the work force at Lodi call it, is a combined cycle power plant - complementing energy gained from renewable sources with reliable energy sources. Siemens flex-plants can ramp up in ten minutes to deliver power to the grid when wind and solar sources die down. A plant that is a bridge to future between reliable and renewable energy sources.
